I’m AJ, a certified swim instructor with over five years of hands-on experience in teaching and competitive coaching. I specialize in helping adult swimmers of all ages—from beginners and nervous first-timers to adults and seniors refining technique—build confidence, improve skills, and feel safe and comfortable in the water.
My lessons are fully personalized and designed around your goals, pace, and comfort level. I offer private and semi-private swim lessons (1-on-1 or small group sessions up to 1-on-4), ensuring focused instruction and consistent progress in every session. Whether you’re learning foundational water skills, improving stroke technique, or building endurance and water fitness, I tailor each lesson to help you succeed.
I welcome swimmers of all backgrounds and abilities, including adults returning to swimming, seniors seeking low-impact aquatic fitness, and anyone looking to overcome fear of water or enhance performance. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and results-driven, combining clear demonstrations with hands-on feedback so you can learn effectively and confidently.
Lessons are flexible and can be held at your private pool, or a nearby public/community pool (such as Burnhamthorpe or Frank McKechnie Community Centre), with entrance fees applying where required. All essential training equipment—kickboards, fins, paddles, and flotation tools—is provided to support your progress.
